Banner designs

Here are some of my ideas for a PCAD web banner, these are just some ideas i picked out of my head thinking about colors, font ect.

This is just a quick example of what my web banner could look like, just a quick draft with the colors and text. I really like the font that i used for the main text on this, i think it is really arty and different which is what attracted me to it in the first place. The colors are a bit dull but i do like the idea of having different shades of the same color for effect, also i love the brush effect almost like a real paintbrush definetly something i would use in my actual banner.

design 2 was one of my ideas that i wanted to do .... but when i made it i felt that there wasn't enough colour on it so i added more colour blobs to it.

the banner that is in progress is my final banner. I liked it because it looks like theres blobs of paint around it and we are trying to promote an art college.

Banner research

I think this web banner is really effective due to the fact it came from a movie site. This banner is also really good because cannes is one of the biggest movie festival in the world, i never knew whats cannes was before, i also like the banner because its not just one picture, different pictures flash up which are different genres of movies that interest you.

 
This banner did not impress me atall. I thought i was bland and boring if i am honest, the only interactive part about this banner was that it had a 'find out more' button at the bottom. The text is standard and easy to read, but i think the picture of the boat was not good as it looks like it is on hard water, it does not blend in with the sea. As this advert is for a phone i see no relivence atall and just dont like it.

This banner definetly didn't interest me at first sight! Plain, boring and dull it didnt do anything for me. The banner overall looks really cheap and it even looks like a scam, this doesnt look like an efficient banner that i would press on if im looking for a new credit card, it looks like a fake website that would take all of my money.
